Checkout for a shopping agent is your cart math behind a contract, not a prompt. ACP specifies five endpoints. UCP checkout is a select-merchant program. Pin the spec date. Idempotency stops the double order.

Last-click will not explain an order that started in ChatGPT or AI Mode. ACP has an affiliate_attribution field. It is not a reporting suite. On 25 September 2026 the honest status is still immature.

ChatGPT can show your products from a feed. In-chat Instant Checkout is approved partners, not a switch in Shopify admin. ACP checkout is five endpoints. Catalog gaps still get you skipped.
